On December 19, 2025, the exhibition "Timeline" will open at the NU ART Gallery. The project acquaints the audience with diverse graphic techniques and artistic trends that influenced the evolution of Ukrainian art in the 20th century.
The exhibition features works by landmark artists, including O. Aksynin, M. Hlushchenko, S. Delaunay, M. Zhuk, R. Selskyi, L. Levytskyi, K. Lomykyn, P. Nilus, M. Reikh-Selska, V. Khrushch, O. Shovkunenko, and others. These artists represent a wide range of artistic perspectives — from academic traditions to modernist experiments.
Ukrainian graphic art of this period developed in constant dialogue with European artistic processes. At the turn of the century, artists активно adopted contemporary techniques and styles such as Art Nouveau, Symbolism, Art Deco, Realism, and Constructivism. Studies at European art centers and participation in exhibitions in Paris, Munich, Kraków, Vienna, and other cultural hubs contributed to the emergence of new aesthetic benchmarks and professional standards. New art studios that appeared in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, and Odesa played an important role in the formation of Ukrainian graphic art.
The exhibition invites viewers to see how, through line, stroke, and composition, artists of the past century expressed their ideas, emotions, and worldview — and how Ukrainian graphic art became part of a broader European context while preserving its unique voice.
All works presented in the exhibition are available for purchase.
The exhibition will run until February 28, 2026.
