The artist's works are influenced by metaphysical painting and his paintings demonstrate a subtle sense of loneliness and alienation in the modern world.

"Figures" is a series of paintings about heroes who have lost the battle with their own future. Deserted seaside landscapes, waves reduced to rectangular lines by the Greeks and waves reinterpreted in colour by Soviet modernism, fixed in space, have moved far beyond their reality in time. Now they have been expropriated by the future, which destroys them and puts them in dialogue, playing with the figures of the past like characters in an ancient tragedy, creating the reality of a new present.
