The artist Volodymyr Stetsula (b. 1958) has been collaborating with Green Sofa gallery since the first days of its foundation. In 2008, he organized an exhibition for two with the Dutch artist Jan Van Gogh, and also took part in the group project “Praise Eros”. In 2016, he participated in the exhibition Cocktail for Three. In 2021, he planned an exhibition with his colleague, a Roman-based artist, Ukrainian Volodymyr Lutsyk.

Włodek's paintings were tenderly poetic, erotic, and at the same time abstract and expressive. Unfortunately, Volodymyr Stetsula died suddenly in 2022. And this exhibition will be a kind of retrospective of his works, the earliest of which dates back to 1984.

Volodymyr Lutsyk, a native of Zolochiv (born in 1968), currently lives in Rome.

A graduate of the Lviv Academy of Arts, he works in a very restrained, minimalist, iconographic style, reminiscent of time-patinated wall frescoes.
For this exhibition, Lutsyk has prepared a series of abstracts called Landscapes and non-portrait images of a person in the Dinner series and other works (2019-2025) that have not been exhibited in Ukraine before.

The two Volodymyrs were close friends.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, April 1 at 18.00. The exhibition will run until April 27.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Volodymyr Stetsula's family, and Volodymyr Lutsyk will join online.
Entrance to the exhibition is free. 12.00-19.00, except Monday.
