Vasyl Savchenko

Vasyl Savchenko reflects on contemporary art as a space where sincerity and refined craftsmanship hold the greatest significance. He values artists who embody a Renaissance-like breadth of knowledge, combining intellectual depth with technical mastery.

For him, graphic art represents mobility and independence — a medium that allows ideas to travel freely and without constraint. At the same time, he acknowledges the influence of the surrounding world, noting that external disorder often finds its way into the inner state of a person.

Savchenko is an interdisciplinary artist engaged across multiple areas of visual art and design. His work has been featured in over 80 international exhibitions and projects spanning countries such as Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Spain, the United States, China, Thailand, and Egypt. He currently leads the Digital Techniques Studio at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk.
