Roman Romanyshyn

Roman Romanyshyn is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans graphic art, painting, and sculpture. He has mastered a wide range of graphic techniques, establishing himself as one of Europe’s leading figures in the field of color etching (intaglio). His particular distinction comes from his refined use of multi-plate color etching, often created from three separate plates, which allows for complex and nuanced compositions.

In addition to printmaking, Romanyshyn works with oil on canvas and experiments with mixed techniques on wooden surfaces. His artworks are notable for their intense, layered color and symbolic language, often drawing on motifs that echo folk traditions and cultural memory.
