Is a person capable of comprehending that art opens the way to a direct dialog between the traditions of the past and the ever-changing present? The tapestries of this exhibition become mediators in this dialog. The past speaks to the present in the language of symbols and silhouettes. A unique code is formed – elusive to decipher, but its imagery is fascinating, and it is revealed through form, texture and color.

The exhibition reveals textiles as a creative manifestation. It invites you into a world of woven symbols and silhouettes that tell of cultural heritage and contemporary experiments.

At her first solo exhibition in her career, Lviv-based artist Justyna Senchyk will present about 12 large-format tapestries created during 2018-2024.

The exhibition is held at the Green Sofa Gallery in Lviv. The opening of the exhibition will take place on January 7 at 18.00.
