Ihor Konovalov. Equilibrium

From 31 May to 9 July 2024, the Kirisenko Art Gallery hosted a solo exhibition of Ihor Konovalov entitled Equilibrium.

Equilibrium literally means "balance", "harmony". This is a special form of psychological balance of a person, having achieved it, he is able to comprehend the essence of the universe, understand his own purpose, acquire high creative growth, knowing his own "I".

The rhythm and turbulence of life, social pressure demand that a modern person find balance and equilibrium on the emotional and mental levels. However, this raises an urgent question: how can an ordinary person manage to keep his or her balance without getting lost in the rapid whirlwind of information and events? This is the urgent question that Ukrainian artist Ihor Konovalov raises in his current project.

The main impetus for the artist to start working on the project was his own need to find inner balance. In his paintings, the artist highlights the problems of human interaction with the outside world, the formation of a person as a spiritual being, and also seeks to balance the social position of a person, bringing balance to the overall structure of society. These are the spiritual qualities that distinguish us from others and make us unique individuals and inimitable creations of the Universe.
