Foam Mermaid

Foam Mermaid is a hypnotic ceramic sculpture that explores the connection between the human being and the element of water. Her translucent body seems to be in motion, wrapped in waves of energy that symbolize the rhythms of the ocean and the breath of nature.

The figure embodies both calm and strength: she is born from foam, as if from the very depths of the unconscious, reminding us of the primordial feminine energy from which life emerges. Soft lines and dynamic curls turn the body into a wave, into movement, into living water.

The work combines the mythological image of the mermaid with contemporary plasticity, exploring themes of transformation, corporeality, and spiritual cleansing. It is at once a vision, a memory, and a call to unite with nature.

Hand modeling from chamotte and multilayered glazes create a sense of depth — the gloss resembles the surface of the sea, where light and time are reflected.
