Banned in the Soviet Union, Kandinsky, Malevich - the artists who influenced the outlook of Yuri. Many questions were asked by the acquaintance with Malevich. He spent his entire life figuring out to understand the mystique ofKazimir Malevich works. Yuri Yurovsky was around 17 years old; he was also among those who became close toMalevich.
A few words and clues from conversations with Kasimir, all preserved in his mind and greatly influenced in his late work.
Malevich was tough on students and very positive on those who, in his opinion, could be potential suprematists. Guys with a broad outlook and a large margin of imagination, he encouraged and took to his studio. Yuri Yurovsky was around 17 years old; he was also among those who became close to Malevich. Such meetings, as dad later recalled, were remembered for a lifetime and left a deep set of strong impressions and experiences.
After all, what we know about Malevich is only a drop in the bucket, from all that the students of the great artist know, his fantastic inner world was revealed in his closest communication.
Dad recalled: As the Papuans looked at the missionaries in the jungle, so we students watched and listened, confronted with the great secret of Kazimir Severinovich, were glad that he perceived us as equals. Once he quoted Confucius and We fell in love with the world of signs and symbols. "It is they who rule the world!"; Malevich said: “I feel this is happening, as the dots of my pupils attract the whole universe!”
I remember these words all my life ... all my life I understand that I can see much more than just contemplate everything that is around me ... Because Kazimir Severinovich is always somewhere nearby ... from there, from the depths of my Youth, I can hear his voice.

Time spent by the artist on sketches near Kiev, time filled with delightful emotions and search for the beauty of nature and creative inspiration.
Dnipro cliffs delight for the eye of an artist. Amazing integrity of his paintings ...behind the external simplicity, beyond the usual scenery, there is something else ...Surprisingly, every fragment of paint put on the canvas, every streak is organically connected with a touch of brush bristles and canvas.
With a light stroke hardly resembling a particular object, the hand laid on the canvas the accuracy of this landscape at a given time. He did not need a lot of time, do the same work, did not have to record a clear layout of the plans. He sketched very quickly and accurately, as nature dictated. She whispered and told him. This is a gift of the highest skill!

Painting is a language. Language reveals the human feelings. Such language - loud and flamboyant. Colorful like a rainbow, like a bright ray of sunshine! What a colors, how they shine with joy, mood of sunshine ! Blazing bright flowers in a jug, followed by endless expanses of meadows, fields, all the magnificence of the land, nourished by the sun!

We see peace and at the same time the internal motion, Yuri powerful mechanism to outline nature from the subconscious. He loves the water allot. The sketches of the artist is always the Dnieper, the Desna water and sky ... all merged plays. The sky and water are symbols of infinity and freedom. All this is very symbolic. Yuri felt the depth of nature ... mud water ... His wisdom and boundless love for the land are seen in every work. Water in Yurovsky paintings is a mirror of the sky. - river - the road….

Bright rich colors, bright blue, intensive. Rhythm of rustling grass, rhythm of the clouds, ridge tree, water letting glare beneath them.

Quite simply, it's all views dozens times, but Yuri reveals the deep, stunning beauty of mother nature!
It is in them, in bright clean colors, fascinating landscapes, seen the whole character of the artist. His truth, love, faith, and pain, all in this works. True peace, we are a nature. The poet of nature!

Everything remains in the past, behind. The wonderful things that you saw in life, that capture in the paintings can not be returned! But there is one thing you have ... memories ... you look at what had passed, that far and you're bound to come back to the past, to native.
Not surprisingly, the most significant achievements and successes of Ukrainian art appeared in the landscape. I think we still know very little about who was actually Yuri Yurovsky. One thing is certain, until the end of his life he remained faithful to creativity.

“Yuri amazed me with an exceptionally fine glance at the world of living nature. His autumn, his summer, his winter saturated with fine sensitivity to the depths of the soul and deeply imbued with the sense of nature. I love landscapes, when I look at Yuri paintings ... I come to life ... I see myself in nature, penetrate into the painting, I walk in this place, dreaming and quietly singing …”

In Sednev there was a tradition of joint trips to nature, they often exchanged color sketches, Glushchenko and Yablonskaya watched Yuri's work with pleasure, as he mixed and selected colors on the palette.
During this period, Yurovsky begins to collect drawings and pictures of his friends. Over the course of several decades, he has carefully assembled a museum-quality collection.

Yuri was a member of the art group, educated and highly cultured environment, which includes the Kiev school of painting: Nikolai Glushchenko, Tatiana Yablonskaya, Semen Guyetsky, Victor Koshevoy. These artists tended to include a wide range of traditions, from the realistic to the modernism and expressionism, with its clear and vibrant color scheme. In the second half of the 20th century, after the Second World War in Ukraine specific artistic medium wave easing ideological pressure was created, along with the peace almighty Socialist Realism, the position of so-called "silent art", born non-conformist movement that art has expanded its scope to include certain traditions impressionism, expressionism, fauvism and some other modernist trends. These trends are particularly noticeable in the Ukrainian landscape painting of the second half of the twentieth century.

Yuri had very warm friendship bound with Tatiana Bruni, Anatoly Petritsky and Fedor Nirod. It is well-known artists scenographers who created costumes and scenery for the Mariinsky Theatre, the Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet, the Kiev Opera.

All of this great company liked to meet and spend time in Leipzig restaurant. In the old days on the first floor there was a candy store cafe "Marquise", which sold cookies "Kampleten" tasty, salty and crumbly. Near this «Patisserie» the events took place, nearly cost the life of Alexei Turbin, the character of the famous novel by Mikhail Bulgakov. After the war, there was opened "cocktail lounge", all working for a surprise until 4 o'clock in the morning. Then it was equipped restaurant "Leipzig" with excellent German cuisine and complex lunches. In the attic/loft were workshops, art studios of Soviet Artists' Union, which have been waiting in the wings undiscovered genius languished bohemians and mature Kiev Beranger. It was a wonderful evenings filled with fun, music, socializing. Art studios in the majority were in the same building.

There was a tradition of joint departure to the nature in Sednev (village near Kiev), often exchanged color sketches, Glushchenko and Yablonskaya enjoyed watching Yuri at work, the way he mixed and selected colors on the pallet.

During this period, Yurovsky begins to collect drawings and paintings of his friends. Carefully, for several decades he gather a collection of museum quality. Yuri was not able to paint freely under Soviet mandate that forbade abstract expressionism. He continued to aggressively draw and experiment with color palet . Recognizable broad strokes, complete freedom and independence, ease and masterly development techniques - characterized by Yuri Yurovsky. The artist expressed himself with extraordinary sincerity and activity. For many years the artist traveled to the Baltic States, where it seemed to him, everybody breathes freedom. But completely free Yurovsky did not feel at this time, the artist is forced to paint in the spirit of socialist realism. In the nineties, Yuri went to the United States, where he works so fruitfully, so vividly reveals his talent. In the USA, the artist acquired creative freedom.
