Monastery Island is the most mysterious place in Dnipro.
The city of Dnipro, whose geographical coordinates are 48.28 degrees north latitude and 35.3 degrees east longitude, is practically on the same latitude as Paris and on the same longitude as Jerusalem.
Rocky at the top, sandy at the tail, the island was a halt on the complex trade or military route along the Dnipro for centuries.
The island keeps many legends and secrets not only of historical figures (St. Andrew the First-Called, princes Volodymyr the Great and Mstislav, Princess Olga), but also of stories and adventures of each of us.
For me, it's a place where time changes. Where you can get into a different space and a different legend. And even ... select the event time.
I dedicated my painting "MONASTERY ISLAND"-2007 to my stories in my reality.
