Живопис. Живо писати. Живо – не швидко, хоча може бути і так, але головне – твір мусить бути живим.
Під час роботи фарбами на полотні, не зразу, приходить стан повної злагоди, але він приходить до чесних і наполегливих.
Дуже цінно не втратити його і довести до якогось закінченого результату, не обов’язково до закінчення роботи.
У самому визначенні «образотворче мистецтво» закладена суть – творити образ. Це є головне. Поняття образу дуже широке, але не треба перетворювати це поняття тільки на літературний образ. Образ у живописі це та закваска, яка тримає усю картину. Це складно, тяжко, але без цього не буде мистецтва, яке створює образ.
Анатолій Тертичний народився 1954 року, місто Ровеньки, Луганської обл.
З 1969 по 1973рр. навчався в Луганському державному художньому училищі на живописному відділенні.
З 1973 по 1979рр. навчався у Київському державному художньому інституті на графічному факультеті.
З 1987 року – член Національної спілки художників України.
Твори знаходяться в музеях, галереях і приватних колекціях України, Європи і США.
1996 - Лауреат конкурсу, присвяченого 50-річчю ООН.
2007 - Дипломант Триєнале живопису.
Живе і працює в м. Києві.
За творчий період з 1980 року відбулося понад 40 виставок, серед яких персональні, групові, закордонні.
