Polina Verbytska

Polina Verbytska is a painter and sculptor from Kyiv, Ukraine. She has been creating anthropomorphic sculptures and bas-reliefs since 2012. Polina describes her work as "boring realism", as it reflects the conditions of corporeality without “aesthetic censorship”. She works with contemporary mediums like: resins, polymer, silicone with a focus on showing realistic human body in its various forms.

Polina's solo exhibitions have been held at the John David Mooney Foundation (USA), VDA Gallery (Lithuania), Transformart gallery (Serbia), Dukley Gallery (Montenegro), Karas Gallery (Ukraine), IZONE (Ukraine), Barbican Art Space (Ukraine). Her works are in private collections in Ukraine, Montenegro, the EU, the USA, and Australia.

Polina Verbytska was born in 1989 in Kyiv.

  • 2022 — "Liberi" social club, art teacher. Klaipeda, Lithuania. Organizing and providing art lessons and activities for socially unprotected children.
  • 2021 — Curator of Katya Granova solo show in Dukley European Art Community, Budva, Montenegro.
  • 2018-2021 — Administrating and co-organizing weekly exhibitions and artist talks, as a part of "Art Wednesday" project in "Izolyatsia" art center.
  • 2015-2017 — Organizer and speaker of the "Drink and draw" evenings in "Izolyatsia" art center.
