Kateryna Poltavska

My paintings have always been about women. They are associated with fragility, care, and romance.

This whole palette of emotions came in handy after the war started. But something else was added. I started using my art to talk about pain, hope, determination and freedom. To convey our unity, it seemed natural to me to turn to national motifs.

Poltavska Kateryna Oleksandrivna was born in Starobeshevo, Donetsk region, on December 3, 1983.

In 2004, she graduated from the Donetsk Art School (specialty – ceramic artist).

In 2011, she graduated from the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts with a degree in Restoration of Works of Art and received a master's degree.

From 2015 to 2023, she was a teacher of drawing, painting, composition, and sculpture at the Children's Art Schoo №6.

She has participated in many Ukrainian exhibitions, as well as exhibitions in the United States. Her paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, the USA, Holland, Germany, Austria, and China.
