Oleksandra Voronina

Oleksandra works with various materials and fine arts. Her main specialisation is easel graphics, but she introduces new approaches to each of her projects, experimenting and combining three-dimensional forms with illustrative elements.

In her projects, Oleksandra reflects on and observes the relationships between people, social connections, and examines the influence of the environment and information on the course of her own life. Oleksandra reflects on the themes of loneliness, isolation and detachment, and how it intertwines with emigration, social and civic responsibilities, politics, feminism and integration into a foreign society.

Oleksandra Voronina was born in 1990 in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she lives and works.
She received her master's degree in easel painting from the National Academy of Arts and Crafts in 2016.

She has a diverse teaching experience and was an assistant trainee at the M. Kompanets' studio at the National Academy of Fine Arts and a guest lecturer at HDK Valand Campus Steneby, Göteborgs University.
