Eduard Bielsky

Eduard Bielski's paintings are an endless creative journey between faith and unbridled artistic enthusiasm, between technical perfection and warmth of the soul, eternity and the moment. These are lively, persistent images that capture extraordinary energy in every stroke and colour, uncontrollably capturing visual fields - often of a large, gallery format.

The artist says that his art is based on emotions. Very often the author works with female images, mystical, secret, unrecognisable world. As the artist often says, it is a cross between Leonardo da Vinci and a Ukrainian icon. He likes to work directly with the model. These are primarily children, wife, friends, random people. The river of life. In the light of recent events in Ukraine, red and black contrasts are often seen. They are somehow connected with the war in Ukraine. Victory or death, this is the main thesis of life.

Eduard Belsky was born in Colki, Volyn region, Ukraine. He has studied in Republican Art School and the Dnepropetrovsk Art School. In 1991 he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, monumental faculty. Since 1992 he Iz a member of the Art Union of painters of Ukraine. Lives and works in Izola Slovenia.
