Olga Samar

Works in the technique of oil painting. Realism and impressionism are the main styles of performance. Olga is fond of the works of famous Impressionist and Modernist artists and is looking for her own artistic language through nature and the classical approach of working in the open air. “Searching for new interesting solutions for my own ideas is one of the most difficult tasks for me,” says the artist. She likes to put the found zest-experiments into a “box”, so that later she can successfully use them in her works.

Olga founded her own art studio in Rokytne. As an art manager, she has experience in organizing an international plein air in Ukraine, as well as a curator of exhibitions in Kyiv and Lvov.

Olga Samar's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, UAE, Europe, Turkey.

Olga Samar was born on October 1, 1978 in the village of Rye Mountains in Kyiv Oblast (Ukraine).

As an adult, she worked for some time as a teacher who is fond of drawing, until one day, in 2008, something dawned on her and turned her into a fully dedicated artist! She suddenly took up drawing and painting seriously, and since then her life changed dramatically: brushes, paints, artistic laws gradually overshadowed all other laws in her life.

On her way to becoming a painter, Olga fearlessly and inspiredly overcame all the obstacles inherent in such a sudden change of fate, and for the sake of painting she finally left a well-established and promising business career.

Since 2012, she studied painting and drawing in the workshops of famous artists: L.P. Lavrovoi, V.L. Levchenko, O.A. Malykha, O.I. Svizhak, A.M. Hard

From 2018 to 2020, Olga studied at the National Academy of Managers of Culture and Arts (Kyiv) at the Faculty of Art Studies.

In addition to drawing, Olga has good experience as an art manager. After graduating from the academy, the artist completed a number of successful art projects - founded her own art studio in the city of Rokytne, organized an international plein air show in Ukraine, organized preparation for the filming of a short film and was a curator of exhibitions in Kyiv and Lviv.

Olga Samar's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the UAE, Europe, and Turkey.
