Biography of Ivan Shyshman
• Born on July 31, 1963 in Izmail.
• 1980-1985 - student of the Art and Graphic Faculty of the Odessa State Pedagogical Institute named after KD Ushinsky.
• 1985 – 1991 – worked in a school in the village of Larzhanka (Izmail district, Odessa region) as a teacher of fine arts and head of an art studio in the city of Izmail; at the same time is engaged in painting, regularly participates in art exhibitions-competitions;
• 1991 - admitted to the Youth Society of the Union of Artists of the USSR;
• 1993 - became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine;
• Since 1991 he has been teaching at the Izmail State University for the Humanities at the Department of Music and Fine Arts, where he is now an Associate Professor.
• Since 1993, in parallel with easel painting, he began to engage in Orthodox monumental and sacred easel painting;
• 1991 - participant of the International Plein Air in Smolen, Bulgaria;
• 1997 - participant of the International Plein Air in Kyustendil, Bulgaria;
• 2003 - participant of the International Plein Air in Novaya Zagora, Bulgaria;
• 2004 - participant of the International Plein Air in Vratsa, Bulgaria;
• 1996 - opened the World Congress of the Intellectual Elite in Sofia (Bulgaria) with a personal exhibition of paintings "Bulgarian message from Bessarabia";
• June 3, 1997 - a certificate for the work on the restoration of the monastery "Saints Constantine and Helena" in Izmail, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail;
• 2000 - participant of the International plein air "Rusenskiy Lom - Danube", Pirgovo, Bulgaria;
• March 2001- was awarded a certificate of honor from the commander of the Southern Division of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Bondar V.M.: for a significant contribution to the aesthetic and military-patriotic education of the border guards of the Southern Division of the Border Troops of Ukraine. ;
• September 7, 2003 - diploma for a significant personal contribution to the development of the culture of the region, Odessa, head of the Department for Nationalities and Migration of the Regional State Administration IP Suprunovsky.

• 2004 - opened a personal exhibition of paintings in Silistra, Bulgaria;
• 2004 - awarded with a medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria for his contribution to the development and popularization of Bulgarian culture, Sofia, Bulgaria;
• 2004 - awarded with a memorial sign "Person of the Year" in the nomination "Art" by the Deputy Governor of the Odessa region AI Kisse;
• 2007 - for merits in the development of fine arts and the strengthening of friendly relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine, he was awarded the Paisiy Hilendarsky medal and a Certificate of Merit from the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry;
• 2012 - certificate for the work on the restoration of the Church of the Holy Myrrh-Bearers in Izmail, Metropolitan Agafangel of Odessa and Izmail.
• 2009, 2010, 2014 - participant of the International Plein Air "Strandja Palette", Malko Tarnovo, Bulgaria.
• 2014 - awarded the Order of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Yaroslav the Wise for services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovina, Viceroy of the Kyiv Metropolitan Cathedral of His Beatitude Onufry;
• 2015 - Ivan Shyshman was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine";
• 2020- awarded the medal "For Merit to Art";

Since 1985, he has held more than 15 solo exhibitions, 7 all-Ukrainian plein-airs in memory of the Honored Artist of Ukraine P.P. Chakira.

• permanent personal exhibitions are placed in the largest legal companies and banks of Ukraine;
• works are exhibited in museums of Ukraine and abroad, as well as in the Verkhovna Rada;

- 1997 - painting of the Church of St. Paraskeva, Sofia, Bulgaria;
- 2004-2008 – painting of the church "St. Trinity", Rzhishchev, Kyiv region;
- 2007-2008 – painting of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, the village of Aleksandrovka, Odessa region;
- 2013 - 2019 - painting of the church of St. Simeon the Stylite, Kyiv, Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka;
- 2020 - painting of the temple "12 Apostles", Kiev;
- 2019 - 2021 - restoration and painting of the monastery of St. Konstantin and Elena, Ishmael.
- 2021 - head of the All-Ukrainian plein air "Mobile Camp", Pereyaslav - Izmail.
- December 2021 - international project "Emilia", participation in the exhibition, Izmail;
- 2022 - Preparation of paintings for the exhibition "Towards the Day of the Liberation of Bulgaria" (March 3). Three works of easel painting.

– 2022 Completion of the sacred art work “Revival of the folk tradition of celebrating the day of the Holy Great Martyr Tryphon, Great Martyr George and Great Martyr Demetrius”.
– 2022 Work on the work of sacred art "The Virgin with the Saints - the patrons of agriculture and winemaking."
- 2022 - Making drawings for a series of paintings.Ivan Shishman constantly participates in all-Ukrainian and city exhibitions on painting and conducts numerous master classes for students of art universities and applicants.
Ivan Shishman's works are in museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Austria, Serbia, Germany, Israel, Bulgaria, USA, France, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden.
Married, raising 8 children, five of whom are multiple winners of international and all-Ukrainian painting competitions.
