I am a graphic artist. I have been learning all my life and I am sure that it is impossible to stop. Just like
to stop thinking. Therefore, each work is not just an image, it is the fruit of many years of reflection and
a very old technique called etching. This technique is very painstaking, thorough and time-consuming. Fewer and
fewer and fewer artists are practicing it. But remembering the works of Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci,
Rembrandt, and other inspiring artists, I keep being convinced that any
ancient technique can be modern and progressive if you invest time, inspiration, thoughts and
and skill.
Viacheslav Snisarenko (slavasnisa) was born in Zaporizhzhia in 1964. He graduated from the faculty of
easel graphics (studio of Professor A. Chebykin and M. Kompanets) at the National
Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in 1992.
2017-2020, 2005-2008 Lectured at the National Polytechnic University at the
at the Faculty of Printing in Kyiv.
Since February 2022, he has been teaching at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
Viacheslav is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine and Honored Artist of Ukraine.
The combination of traditional techniques, deep knowledge of art history, the latest technologies, modern
vision of the world, reflective aestheticism of the artist create a unique universe where all objects
exist both real and imaginary.
Viacheslav is a regular participant in Ukrainian and international exhibitions, where he received the following
awards:
- "Winter Nostalgia" art exhibition from the funds of the Kyiv Museum, January 2023.
- "To Remember" art exhibition-reflection on the events of the war in the Kyiv Museum, September
2022 р.
- XI All-Ukrainian Art Exhibition named after H. Yakutovych, August 2022.
- International exhibition of etchings Italy-Ukraine, April 2022.
- All-Ukrainian exhibition-competition named after Heorhii Yakutovych, 2021.
- All-Ukrainian exhibition-competition named after Heorhii Yakutovych, 2019.
- Silver Korba Award at the First International Triennial of Small Forms of Graphics, Kyiv.

"Slavasnisa is a Ukrainian graphic artist. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts. He has received a number of awards, including
two 1st degree diplomas at the Yakutovych exhibition and competition and an award at the International

Vyacheslav Snisarenko is considered by his colleagues and critics to be one of the best (if not the best)
contemporary etching artists in Ukraine. He is truly a master of this extremely complex
technique of printmaking. But technique is only a means of expression. In the images of Viacheslav
Snisarenko's images usually have a number of meanings and associations layered on top of them, and each viewer "reads"
what is accessible and interesting to him: from sophisticated aesthetics and impeccable composition to
light sadness and black humor.
The artist likes large (over two meters!) formats, which seem to be more suitable for painting, and
fills them with a weaving of exquisite details, each of which tells its own story, has its own
sounding like a desk.
