Vladyslav Shereshevsky

Vladyslav Shereshevsky is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Ukrainian art, renowned for his sharp sense of humor and distinctive artistic irony. In his works, he combines expressive painting with social and cultural references, transforming everyday scenes into multilayered visual statements. The artist’s oeuvre is distinguished by its boldness, emotional openness, and ability to respond sensitively to the challenges of the times. Shereshevsky’s paintings attract attention not only through their vivid imagery but also through their profound dialogue with contemporary reality.

Vladyslav Shereshevskyi was born on February 25, 1964, in Kyiv, Ukraine.

In 1982, he graduated from the Republican Art Secondary School. From 1985 to 1991, he studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute, majoring in Book Graphics in the studio of Professor Vasyl Chebanyk.

Since 1987, he has participated in art exhibitions. In 1989, he began working actively in painting. He has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1992.

From 1994 to 1995, he was a recipient of a scholarship from the German Ministry of Culture.

Works by Shereshevskyi are held in the collections of the National Museum “Kyiv National Art Gallery,” the Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery, the Odesa Fine Arts Museum, the Chernihiv Art Museum, the Zaporizhzhia Art Museum, the Dnipro Art Museum, the Museum of Ukrainian Painting in Dnipro, and the Museum of the History of Kyiv. His works are also included in the private collections of M. Riess (Hamburg, Germany), Daimler-Benz (Stuttgart, Germany), and the Municipal Gallery of Munich (Germany), as well as in private collections in the United States, Israel, Greece, Sweden, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine.
