Olesia Rybchenko

Olesia Rybchenko is an artist, researcher, and writer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. In her artistic practice, she forms a new ontology through her personal experience of studying Ukrainian art. Based on the study of the fundamentals: matter, space, time and movement, she strives for a theory of rhythmic spatial influences. He also explores the interaction of rhythms and color with the exhibition environment: gallery, museum, and other spaces, always connecting it to the viewer.

Olesia's works are kept in museums, galleries, and private collections around the world, namely in Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, China, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Georgia, and Egypt.

Education

  • 2024 — PhD, National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture;
  • 2020 — Bachelor's degree in International ART Management, USMIPPK, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Institute of International Relations,
  • 2018 — Master of Fine Arts, NAOMA.

Olesia Rybchenko has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions. She also worked in international art projects, participated in symposia, plein airs, and residencies. In 2022-2023, she worked in the residency of the Das Art Institut Gallery in Karlsruhe (Germany), also worked as an art manager and art consultant at Das Art Gallery, Karlsruhe (Germany). She is the member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NUAU).
