Serg Poznansky

Serg Poznansky is a well-known photographer, cinematographer and artist from Kyiv.

Since 2016, he has been working in the ambrotype technique, where each individual ambrotype is created in a fascinating step-by-step process by hand, which adds even more value to it. The technique of drawing with light using reagents on a glass plate is unique and often unexpected, so it eliminates any possibility of counterfeiting.

Nowadays, Serg Poznansky is working on improving his own technique, where he uses transfer paper, watercolor paper and potal. He is an active participant in photo exhibitions and film festivals and presents his works at them.

Serg's artworks are in many private collections around the world.

Serg Poznansky was born in 1972 in Kyiv.

After receiving a diploma in cinematography from the Karpenko-Kary Institute, he worked as a photographer at the Mc Cann Erickson/Linea 12 advertising agency, and then opened his own photo studio, where he was engaged in artistic author's photography.

He is also a participant in many photo exhibitions and film festivals, in particular, in 2000 he took part in the Molodist International Film Festival as a director of photography for the documentary film The State, which won second place for best cinematography.

Serg Poznansky's latest film projects as a director of photography are very amazing and well-known in the world of cinema and festivals.

In 2016, the screensavers for the TV channel Ukraine "Chernobyl – a national tragedy", shot by Serg Poznansky, won the Grand Prix at Medientage Munchen. This festival, which is held annually in Munich, is one of the largest in Europe in the field of media and technology.

Also in 2016, the film "Fashion Zombies" was officially selected for the ARTLightenment Art and Film Festival in the United States. This festival, which is held in Nashville, is dedicated to art and film and is an important event for creators and fans of culture

In 2017, the film "A Revival Story" was selected for the Chelsea Fashion & Film Festival in New York City. This festival is one of the largest fashion and film festivals in the world.

In the same year 2017, the film "Laces" was qualified to participate in the Short Film Animated competition at the 20th Zoom – Zblizenia International Film Festival in Jelenia Góra, Poland. This festival is known for its tradition of showing great films and spotlighting young talent.
