Halyna Sorokhan

Gala Sorokhan is a Ukrainian artist.

Using the language of painting, she explores the world around her, reinterpreting it. She is interested in depicting people and their small stories, revealing the image through emotions and experiences. Her paintings bring positive energy to the viewer. She is constantly searching for the harmony of colour and the vibration of light flows, which give the work a sacred meaning.

To express herself, the artist uses realistic painting techniques, combining them with modern styles. For many years, she worked in oil painting on canvas. Currently, she is experimenting with acrylic.

She was born and lived in Kherson, Ukraine. Now lives in Ghent (Belgium).
In 1996 she graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing (Lviv), specialising in book graphics.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Participated in numerous art exhibitions and competitions in Ukraine and abroad. She was awarded the diploma of the laureate.
The artist's paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, France, and Germany. In the collection of the Art Museum, Ukraine, Kherson.
