Brief biography and honors of the artist (in Russian) : Петр Смыковский родился 3 июня 1961 году в Житомирской области. Художник получил основательное профессиональное образование. В течение 1977-1981 г. учился в Железногорском художественном училище (Россия), по специальности "живописец-педагог", а в 1990 году успешно окончил Украинский полиграфический институт имени Ивана Федорова, по специальности "художник-график".
 Член Национального союза художников Украины с 2008 года.
 Член Ассоциации философского искусства с 2011 года (Киев. Украина).
 Лауреат премии "Изумрудная Лира" Государственной пограничной службы Украины (2010).
 Награжден Грамотой Конституционного Суда Украины за весомый вклад в создании духовных и материальных ценностей Украины (2011).
 Дипломант Международной художественной программы "Художественный Олимп".
 Петр Смыковский - известный украинский художник, творческий потенциал которого является глубоким и безграничным. Его творчество имеет отчетливо очерченный национальный характер, его творческая судьба олицетворяет путь смелых поисков и свершений, желание воспроизведения сильной красоты природы.
 Живопись Петра Смыковского отличается, прежде всего, особым чувством цвета и сочетанием простоты и изысканности, художественным совершенством и искренностью. Среди произведений художника - полотна духовной тематики, тематические картины, пейзажи, портреты, натюрморты. Его пейзажи лирические и трогательные. Портреты - откровенные и проникновенные. Портрет занимает особое место в творчестве Петра Смыковского. В нем открывается глубинное, сокровенное, сама сущность художника, восхищение своими героями.
 Художником создана галерея портретов духовных людей, друзей, простых обычных людей: "Андрей Шептицкий. Вера и Любовь" (2017); "Иосиф Слепой. Завещание" (2016); "Любомир Гузар. Молитва за Украину" (2021); "Молитва" (2011); "Благословение отца Варлаама" (2011); "Просветленный старец" (2011); "Лариса на даче" (2011), "Портрет Романа Расевича" (2018) и многие другие.
 Художник много путешествует по Украине и миру. Увиденное фиксирует на холсте, в памяти и сердце. "Весна в Киото" (2014); "Япония. Горная сакура" (2013); "Гурзуфский мотив" (2008); "Дед на мостике" (2011); "Карпатский источник" (2010), - важные среди пейзажей мастера. В образах природы художник воспроизводит тончайшие оттенки настроения и переживаний. Передает особые приметы разных уголков Земли, поэзию повседневных мотивов, необычное и трогательное в извечных проявлениях природы. Работы Петра Смыковского - это его ощущение действительности, сотканное из приятных пастельных цветов.
 Достижения на ниве изобразительного искусства были представлены художником на многих Всеукраинских, Международных художественных выставках. В 2013 г., при поддержке Посольств Украины в Японии и Японии в Украине была проведена Персональная выставка произведений художника в г. Осака, Япония. Которая имела большой успех. О признании творчества художника свидетельствуют многочисленные публикации в прессе, на телевидении; авторские фильмы о творчестве художника; изданные каталоги его работ.
 В 2013 и 2016 году Министерством культуры Украины, Национальным союзом художников Украины, представлен Президенту Украины, на присвоение почетного звания "Заслуженный художник Украины".
 Произведения художника находятся в собственности государственных музеях Украины и России, официальных учреждениях и частных коллекциях в Украине и за ее пределами, а именно: США, Японии, Франции, Италии, Нидерландах, России, Латвии и других.

Brief biography and honors of the artist (in Ukrainian) : Петро Смиковський народився 3 червня 1961 році у Житомирській області. Художник здобув ґрунтовну фахову освіту. Протягом 1977-1981 р. навчався в Желєзногорському художньому училищі (Росія), за спеціальністю «живописець-педагог», а у 1990 році успішно закінчив Український поліграфічний інститут імені Івана Федорова, за спеціальністю «художник-графік».
 
Член Національної спілки художників України з 2008 року.
 
Член Асоціації філософського мистецтва з 2011 року (Київ. Україна).
 
Лауреат премії «Смарагдова Ліра» Державної прикордонної служби України (2010).
 
Нагороджений Грамотою Конституційного Суду України за вагомий внесок у створенні духовних та матеріальних цінностей України (2011).
 
Дипломант Міжнародної мистецької програми «Мистецький Олімп».
 
Петро Смиковський – відомий український митець, творчий потенціал якого є глибоким і безмежним. Його творчість має виразно окреслений національний характер, його творча доля унаочнює шлях сміливих шукань та звершень, бажання відтворення силеної краси природи.
 
Живопис Петра Смиковського вирізняється, насамперед, особливим відчуттям кольору та поєднанням простоти та вишуканості, мистецькою досконалістю та щирістю. Серед творів художника – полотна духовної тематики, тематичні картини, пейзажі, портрети, натюрморти. Його пейзажі ліричні і зворушливі. Портрети – відверті та проникливі. Портрет займає особливе місце в творчості Петра Смиковського. В ньому відкривається глибинне, потаємне, сама сутність митця, замилування своїми героями.
 
Художником створено галерею портретів духовних людей, друзів, простих звичайних людей: «Андрій Шептицький. Віра та Любов» (2017); «Йосип Сліпий. Заповіт» (2016); «Любомир Гузар. Митець багато подорожує Україною і світом. Побачене фіксує на полотні, в пам’яті й серці. «Весна у Кіото» (2014); «Японія. Гірська сакура» (2013); «Гурзуфський мотив» (2008); «Дідо на містку» (2011); «Карпатське джерело» (2010), – важливі серед краєвидів майстра. В образах природи художник відтворює найтонші відтінки настрою і переживань. Передає особливі прикмети різних куточків Землі, поезію повсякденних мотивів, незвичне і зворушливе в одвічних проявах природи. Роботи Петра Смиковського – це його відчуття дійсності, зіткане з приємних пастельних кольорів.
 
Здобутки на ниві образотворчого мистецтва були представлені художником на багатьох Всеукраїнських, Міжнародних художніх виставках. He was awarded the Diploma of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine for significant contribution to the creation of spiritual and material values of Ukraine (2011). Diploma winner of the International Art Program «Art Olympus». Petro Smykovsky is a well-known Ukrainian artist, whose creative potential is deep and boundless. His work has a clearly defined national character, his creative destiny illustrates the path of bold quests and accomplishments, the desire to reproduce the strong beauty of nature. Peter Smykovsky’s painting is distinguished, first of all, by a special sense of color and a combination of simplicity and sophistication, artistic perfection and sincerity. Petro Smykovskyi’s works are his sense of reality, woven from pleasant pastel colors. Achievements in the field of fine arts were presented by the artist at many All-Ukrainian, International art exhibitions. The artist has held more than ten solo exhibitions, two of which were in the Great Hall of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2011, 2016). The artist’s personal exhibition of works was held in 2013 in Osaka, Japan, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan and the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine. It was a great success. Numerous publications in the press, on television, in films, and published catalogs testify to the recognition of the artist’s work. In 2013 and 2016, he was presented to the President of Ukraine by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, with the honorary title of «Honored Artist of Ukraine».
