Marharyta Zhurunova, an artist from Vinnytsia. Engaged in printed graphics, installation, and graphics transitioning into installation. Explores the sacred and the non-human-made. Actively works with the topic of the invisible, studies Ukrainian folklore and demonology.

Marharyta Zhurunova, an artist from Vinnytsia. Born on November 29, 1994. Engaged in printed graphics, installation, and graphics transitioning into installation. Explores the sacred and the non-human-made. Actively works with the topic of the invisible, studies Ukrainian folklore and demonology.

 

Studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing at the Department of Book and Easel Graphics, and graduated in 2018 with a Master's degree.

 

Since 2015, she has been working in co-authorship with Bohdan Lokatyr in the field of environmental, site-specific art.

 

In 2019, both artists became winners of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for young writers and artists, and received a grant from the President of Ukraine to create the second volume of the art book "Ukrainian Bestiary".

 

Finalists of the contemporary art competition named after Natan Altman (Vinnytsia, 2018), Second Biennale of Young Art (Kharkiv, 2019), M17 Sculpture Prize: Roots and Pollen (M17 Gallery, Kyiv, 2020).
