Andriy Bludov

Andrii Bludov is a Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, also works in the field of video. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, painting teacher at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (NAOMA).

Works in the styles of postmodernism, pop art, symbolism, impressionism, futurism, letrism. The works combine elements of mythology, surrealism and avant-garde.

Lives and works in Kyiv.

Andrei Bludov was born on March 17, 1962 in the city of Ussuriysk in the Far East. Later, the family moved to Donbass, to Slobozhanshchyna (since the father was a military man, they often moved).

As a teenager at the Kyiv children's art school No. 6 of the Obolon district, Andrey began systematic training in drawing and met his first teacher - Borys Petrovych Ishchuk.

In 1982, he graduated from the Kyiv Art and Industrial Technical College and entered the Kyiv Art Institute at the Department of Graphics.

1983–1985 - a break in education due to military service.

Since 1988, while studying at the institute, A. Bludov has been a participant in all-Ukrainian, all-Union and international exhibitions.

In 1990, immediately after graduation, he joined the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. This year, Andrey Bludov entered graduate school and began teaching at the Kyiv Art Institute.

1993 the artist joined the association of artists "BZH-ART"

In 1994, he had his first personal exhibition, presented in Moscow (Russia) in the "Russian Collection" gallery. During that period, the artist actively collaborated with M. Zhuravl (personal projects on the theme of myths and images "Myth formation" and "Metanosis").

In 1996-2010, in parallel with painting, he was engaged in the development of landscape art in Ukraine (land art festivals: "Mogrytsa" and "Spring Wind").

In 2016, curator and art historian Victoria Burlaka invited Bludov to a teaching position at the School of Contemporary Art at the Institute of Contemporary Art Problems.

 

Participation in symposia

For four years, Andriy Bludov has been participating in the BIRUCHIY international contemporary art symposium, which is a large-scale art residence of Ukraine, founded in 2006.

2016 - 11th season - a series of works from the "Herbarium" and "Secret Garden" projects.

2017 - the 12th season of "Run on water ..." - a series of works from various projects.

2018 - 13th season "Neoshamanism. The power of ritual" is the work of Mudra.

2019 - 14th season "Exodus. Biruchiy 019. Montenegro" - a series of works from the "CITY VISION" project.

2019 - First Prize of the Painting Triennial (Kyiv)

2018 - awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.

2002 - Second Prize of the Painting Triennial (Kyiv)
