The style of my work has two main directions: it is an emotional reflection of reality with a focus on the beauty of the world, and philosophical rethinking of the world as allusions to an external stimulus, resulting in formalistic compositions based on national character and traditions.
My work is a continuation of the tradition of decorative painting, founded in Lviv by Roman Selskyi, a follower of Fernand Leger. The source of my inspiration is a knowledge of the world through continuous traveling and plein air sessions; only vivid impressions that excite me, can excite the viewer with joy of life and beauty of our world. From Brussels and Heidelberg, Munich and Saint-Tropez, Helsinki and Barcelona - I brought works, full of sincere emotion and warmth.
Studio work, still lifes, portraits and compositions - they are a consequence of long-term creative work, which began in the workshop of my father Volodymyr Patyk and continues to this day.
