Vasyl Bobita

Without the Creator in creation there is no creativity

Vasyl Bobita was born on December 18, 1962. in the city of Irshava, Transcarpathian region in Ukraine. Being born in Transcarpathia is a blessing from God. The beauty of his native land awakened his talent for drawing since childhood.

During his school years (1970-1978), he took part in art competitions and exhibitions, and was also a co-editor of the class and school newspaper. After finishing school, the question of where to go to study further did not arise for Vasyl. He clearly understood that he wanted to become an artist.

1978-1982 - studying at the Uzhhorod School of Applied Arts. After successfully passing the final exams, he received a diploma in the specialty "artist-master"

1982-1984 - service in the ranks of the RA where he worked according to his profession.

1985-1989 works at the Zakarpattia Production and Design Combine (ZVHOK) as an artist-designer with a creative qualification.

Since 1985 is a participant in regional, all-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions. He works in the field of easel painting in the genre of landscape, still life and urban landscape, and also experiments with color, composition in the framework of abstract painting.

1989-1992 - organizes and heads the artistic cooperative "Spectr", in which four artists work with him. Working in a cooperative helps to set up connections and channels for selling one's own works of art in Ukraine and abroad, mostly in Russia.

1992-1995 work abroad in the Czech Republic. Creates a series of paintings "Stobashennaya Prague". During these years, he made many sketches, sketches, sketches of the city of Prague. From time to time he goes out to paint the streets of the old town, where he sells his works.

1995-2012 becomes a non-public person in the field of fine arts.

In 1996 the difficult crisis situation in Ukraine in the 90s, as well as internal mental and spiritual experiences, raise many questions for the artist, such as: where did I come from? What am I here for? where am i going Vasyl finds the answers to these questions in the Bible. Under the influence of the Word of God, through faith in God and repentance, he makes a life-important decision and recognizes his spiritual position as a person.

Since 2012, a new stage in the artist's creative path begins. The main factor of self-expression in Vasyl's work is color. The main goal of the artist is to achieve a combination of powerful, bright and pure colors that would positively affect the emotional state of the viewer. To achieve the goal, the artist practices and experiments with various techniques, in particular enamels, which are simply not poured on the canvas, and also uses sand in mixed techniques, which makes his paintings structural. In the paintings of the painter, such trends in art can be seen as: impressionism, cubism, modernism, constructivism, abstractionism.

Vasyl's creative credo is "never stop at what you have achieved and always be in a state of search." Of all the creative activities, the process of mixing paint and the composition of color on the canvas are the most fascinating and interesting. The artist's favorite vertical canvas formats are 60X50, 110X80, 120X90, 150X100, 200X140 cm.

Many of the artist's paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the USA, and Germany.

The formation of Vasyl's creative personality was influenced by the paintings of famous Transcarpathian artists such as: A. Erdeli, F. Manaila, H. Glyuk, A. Kashaya, V. Prykhodka, Yu. Herts; from Ukrainian N. Hlushchenko; from modern Ukrainian: A. Kryvolapa, H. Silvashi, P. Lebedynts.
