Oleksandr Zhyltsov

Oleksandr Zhyltsov was born on 28 October 1973 in Krasnohrad (Harkivska oblast, Ukraine).
As a child, Oleksandr moved with his family to the Donetsk city, Donetsk region, Ukraine.
Studied in Donetsk State Art College after a secondary school graduation. Then got a professional specialization in «Monumental and Decorative Painting» in Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts (the workshop of Y.Bykov).
In 2000-2003, took part in art exhibitions in Donetsk and Kharkiv, giving private painting lessons additionally.
In 2015, due to the armed conflict in Donbas, he moved with his family to the city of Kyiv.
Took part in collective exhibitions, works are kept in private collections.
Currently lives and works in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia.

In 2019, presented in project «A4 size ballpoint pen» in Karas Gallery. In 2020 it was presented on 58th Venice Biennale as a part of Ukrainian group art exhibition named «The Shadows of a Dream, Falling on Giardini della Biennale».
In 2021 it was presented on the Ukrainian project "Borders of Reality", the annual international art exhibition NORDART 2021, Budelsdorf, Germany .
In 2021, attended the first Andriy Lipatov Biennale of Naïve Art & Primitivism «Velour Cat», taken place in Kropyvnytskyi (Ukraine).
In 2021 it was presented on the Ukrainian project "Borders of Reality", the annual international art exhibition NORDART 2021, Budelsdorf, Germany.
In March 2022, due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Oleksandr moved to Mukachevo, Ukraine.

NordArt-2021

 

At the international exhibition NordArt-2021, Dusseldorf (Germany). More than 200 artists from 40 countries took part in this large-scale cultural event. Ukraine was announced as the central country of NordArt-2021. It was represented by 20 artists, including Alexander Zhiltsov.

Hungary. "During the war-2022"

 

May 29, 2022 in the Hungarian House named after. Migaya Munkácsy with the assistance of the public organization "About Art - Munkácsy"; and Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum named after. Joseph Bokshay opened an exhibition of works by artists and sculptors - internally displaced persons.
