I spent my childhood in the Soviet Union, a country of total shortages. There are many good and bad things to remember about childhood, but childhood is like a part of an amazing film where a kid learns about the world around him. There was no difference because there was neither one nor the other. And only twice a year, on major holidays, my parents would bring me presents from work for children, with one or two oranges among the sweets and chocolates. And these were my favourite treats, the pleasure of which I would stretch for a week. And in my dreams, I saw that one day I would find one big juicy and tasty orange...
