"This work was inspired by the statue of the Winged Victory of Samothrace (Nike of Samothrace), a legacy of ancient art.
Carved from stone in honor of the goddess Nike, it symbolized an unstoppable forward motion. I was drawn to the combination of femininity and lightness with a simultaneous sense of confidence and monumentality in her figure.
Creating my own Nike, I decided to embody the timeless image of a woman who inspires the world toward great achievements and victories. While working on the figure, I conveyed a sense of movement reminiscent of the sea's elemental force and aimed to reflect the mood of ancient mythology."
