Oleksii Koval was born on October 16, 1977 in Kyiv.
In 1996 he graduated from the Taras Shevchenko Republican Art School (painting class).
From 1996 to 2002, he studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Faculty of Painting (studio of V. Zabashta).
Since 2000, he has been working in the field of monumental art: about 100 works in Ukraine and abroad. These are frescoes, mosaics, murals, stained glass sketches. He has collaborated with Ukrainian and foreign architects, including S. Myrhorodskyi, Y. Ostapenko, V. Zavhorodnia, K. Lubeck, and M. Bizatti.
From 2006 to 2009, he studied hot enamel technique in Kyiv in the studio of I. Kirichenko and studied the peculiarities of the technique in private workshops around the world: China, India, and European countries.
Since 2009, he has been working a lot and fruitfully, using different possibilities of the technique and different materials - silver, copper, bronze, precious stones.
Participant of numerous symposiums, exhibitions and art plein airs. The artist's works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
