Repin Ilya - ART2080

Repin Ilya Efimovich (August 5, 1844 - September 29, 1930) - a great Russian painter, realist artist with Ukrainian roots (born in the city of Chuguev on the territory of the modern Kharkov region).

Since 1878 - a member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions. Academician of the Imperial Academy of Arts. Professor - head of the workshop (1894-1907) and rector (1898-1899) of the Academy of Arts. Among his students are B. M. Kustodiev, I. E. Grabar, I. S. Kulikov, F. A. Malyavin. Was the direct mentor of V.A. Serov.
