city in Poland, located 7 km from the Ukrainian-Polish border. In the fall of 1918, after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, it became part of the West Ukrainian People's Republic, but the Poles soon established control over the city. In 1939, Przemysl became part of Ukraine again. However, in the summer of 1941, Peremishlyanschyna was completely occupied by Germany. After the liberation of Western Ukraine by Soviet troops, the right-bank part of Przemysl again became part of the Ukrainian SSR, but in 1945 the city was transferred to Poland.
