Sasha Makarska, Anastasiia Podervianska. Flashback

Flashback (from the English "a return to the past") refers to recurring memories that involuntarily intrude into consciousness without any deliberate attempt to recall them.

These are sudden, usually very intense, repeated personal experiences of past events or fragments of them.

They can carry different emotional tones, ranging from uplifting and joyful to tragic. But they are always intense — as if everything is being experienced all over again.

At times, these memories can also bring people together. This is the case with the joint exhibition by Sasha Makarska and Anastasiia Podervianska: the artists not only present their works together but also wish to tell the story of their many years of friendship and share their perspectives on each other’s artistic practices.

The exhibition runs from August 28 to September 26, 2026, in the large hall of Imagine Point Gallery at 86/1 Holosiivskyi Avenue, Kyiv.

Opening hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 12:00–19:00.
