Gary Goryany

‘Not laws and people but signs and symbols rule the world,’ Confucius said once. This phrase of the Chinese philosopher can serve as an epigraph to all the works of Garik Goryany.

His research in the religious and philosophical postmodern layers is based on graphic allegory. The primary motifs that are constantly present in the paintings of Goryany are numerous points, spirals, rays, as symbols of the connection between the Creator and man.

At a certain point, esoteric symbolism became for him the tool that allowed the artist to portray not only the ancient signs of the universe, but also helped to express the secret efforts of his personal soul. Discovering the world through inner contemplation, the master created his own Universes - one, two, whole chains of macrocosms living according to their own laws.
